Of course you want the good news, but the bad news is shorter, so let's get that over with first.
The air quality is unhealthy, visibility is significantly diminished, and everyone seems to be crabby and suffering from headaches. Breakfast at Big Creek is cancelled for Saturday, September 9th, and the Honeymoon Fire is moving toward the Sulphur Creek Ranch. Full Details here at the Idaho Aviation Association's Facebook page. The bad news is heartbreakingly bad.

The good news, though, is that our New Gigantic Beautiful Hangar floor is finished, sealed, and buffed, as well as the concrete pad in front, all the sidewalks, and the wash rack drain. We've taken the final measurements for the offices and storage areas, and those rooms will be under construction soon. September 16th, 11 AM to 2 PM, the Buhl Airport Board of Directors, Thrivant Financial, and Foothills Aviation are hosting an open house. This event is free to the public, and Chili and water will be available. There will be planes, fire trucks and other machinery on display.
Instead of a dull gray (shown here), the floor is a polished reddish-tinged sealed concrete.
